Lucid Dreaming (Astral Projection)

A lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer is aware of dreaming. During lucid dreaming, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment.

Early references to the phenomenon are found in ancient Greek writing. For example, the philosopher Aristotle wrote: 'often when one is asleep, there is something in consciousness which declares that what then presents itself is but a dream'.

Interpreting the lyrics

Digging deeper into the lyrics, I interpreted it as if the lead persona was entering a more dream state, escaping reality and unchaining their true self, as she is falling through time and space into a loop, where she is occasionally grounded and able to appreciate things she couldn't see while awake.

I am wanting to show her as she's entering her dream state, half here and half above all else.

Laying on a bed of clouds that look similar to a bed. 

She packed my bags last night, pre-flight
Zero hour: 9:00 a.m
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the Earth so much, I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

Falling through time & space. adding different aspects of reality but in an abstract and unrealistic way. Water, Earth, Space.
